A stunning depiction of a human skull, hand carved by a master wood carver from a solid piece of beautifully grained tamarind wood, straddled by an octopus executed in carved deer antler. The bottom jaw and the head of the skull are two pieces which are attached by a small tamarind wood pin on each side so that the jaw can open and close. The teeth of the skull are mode from cow bone and are meticulously carved to appear real.
